SHED
.
Shed is a proposed half hour show, based on the character of the same name. Shed is an ageless hitchiking-hobo-busker rooted in the rhythms of seasonal rural Canada. A free spirit with a distaste for work, he needs not to be anywhere. He shares similar footsteps and folklore as Stompin Tom Connors; a barnstorming eccentric maverick anchored in old school ways. Not unlike Crocodile Dundee he is unfazed by popular culture, living a modest low impact life, thus exposing the humorous paradoxes of our Canadiana culture. His lifestyle alone is a complete study in human survival.
Shed is a social benchmark. He is provocative and challenges even the more opened minded. He is honourable with little judgement, therefor set free to boldly react to his surroundings. He is a romantic storyteller giving life to ordinary objects and situations that may otherwise go unnoticed. Everything and everyone has a story, and Shed pulls these stories out. He even makes a plastic Jesus muse the truth.
His thumb and guitar guide him to his vast network of friends and relatives that watch over him. Everyone from farmers to bikers offer him a harbour from time to time, and he in turn entertains with his songs and boundless quirky charisma.
A bottom feeder extrodinaire, he sleeps in Home Depot parking-lot sheds, boats, old cars, wherever he can find shelter. You can find Shed everywhere, in the apple orchards, tobacco fields, cutting firewood, driving a parade float, and more notably busking/improvising in front of Liquor stores. Developing over the last four years, Shed comes from the streets, comedy improvisation workshops, and TV advert spots. With a buzz already in orbit, he is simply unforgettable.
Shed can been seen now busking over in Europe. There has been sightings of him
