There has been study: pilgrimages to New Orleans and Havana, and all places in between. Jazz school on Vancouver Island. There has been busking: the streets of Europe North America and beyond. Tours of the UK, France, Italy, Canada and the USA keep him tired and charged.
Now living in the UK, but rooted in the Canadian landscape, Paul plays in various bands that cover a full spectrum of music. He fronts the a twisted theatre band deep inside the unlimited collective life of The Private Widdle Social Club. Theatre work in Paris, acting, jazz music, reggae, folk, african and always the second line of New Orleans keeps him busy. There is of course,
Following intensive touring, Paul’s Album Rootballs was made by renting an old house in the middle of the Canadian prairies to record a collection of song-stories on an 8 track and mixed by Juno winner John Ellis. Rootballs showcases wonderfully strange sounds and has caused certain radio presenters to declare him totally original, and mad. CBC, BBC, Spirit radio from Brighton and some local Canadian radio stations have aired music from Rootballs.
Paul is also in production for his next album to be released from He is recording at Muskie Studios, his self contained time capsule, kitted with new vintage soul traps.
Paul just produced Elephant Lands, The Cocos Lovers new album, released on Smugglers Records, Lorraine Lucas’ debut Album, and currently The Humble Oats are in production at Muskie Studios.
